Greater accessibility and shorter travelling time

1. DTL2 gives commuters greater accessibility to the rest of the island and will significantly improve travel time by as much as 30 percent with the connections to existing rail networks through the three interchange stations.
2. For example, with a direct rail access from Bukit Panjang to the Marina Bay Financial Centre, the journey will take about 45 minutes – a time saving of 25 minutes from the existing travelling time which requires a transfer from the North-South line to the East-West line.
Direct access to schools and businesses
3. DTL2 will run along the Bukit Timah Road corridor towards the city, weaving its way close to residential and commercial buildings as well as passing about 30 schools within its vicinity.
4 DTL2 will breathe new life to businesses at existing neighbourhood malls such as food and beverage outlets, education centres, spa and beauty salons. The convenience and connectivity of DTL2 means more customers can access Balmoral Plaza, Serene Centre, Coronation Plaza, Sixth Avenue eateries, Bukit Timah Plaza, Beauty World Centre and Railway Mall more easily via a direct rail link.
